It works to encourage and assist its students’ efforts to grow as independent and responsible individuals, developing their social and communication skills to enable them to live and work as valuable and valued, self-confident members of their local communities.
Teachers at the school use speech therapy and physical therapy programs to help students become self-sufficient within a co-operative environment. The use of computers and information technology is explained and encouraged.
L’estel teaches the basics which enable students to continue education and training throughout their lives.
The school belongs to the Associació L’Estel de Balaguer, which, along with the school, offers other services, including an Adult Occupational Centre, a Sporting Club and a weekend leisure group.
